Benefits of Booking All Inclusive Vacations

I have family members in the Caribbean who love to go on cruises so much that they make it a point to take a cruise every couple of months. Granted, these cruises that they take leave from the Caribbean and usually sail for a few days, stopping in and docking at various ports along the Caribbean islands as well as making a stop in Florida near Miami. They enjoy it mostly because it is a relaxing and fun way to do their clothes shopping.

While many of us may not have the time nor the funds to plan a cruise every two months, when we do get the opportunity to plan a proper vacation, all-inclusive vacations provide a great option for those of us who like our trips planned around a nice, neat little package. I can still remember the first time that my father planned our vacation to Florida. He would get home from work at night and sit in front of the computer for hours. Back then, computers and Internet searches were fairly new; therefore, receiving printed brochures and buying “vacation guides” from the book store were still extremely popular and outweighed the number of people who relied on the Internet.

He would sit in front of the computer and then move from the computer to his desk where he would resign himself to studying the hundreds of pages of activities and things to do and places to stay in Florida when trying to plan a trip to Disney World. This went on for several weeks, and then the phone calls started. He had to call the resort that we were staying at and book our reservations. He had to call the airline and secure our flight down from New York. He had to call a separate number for the rental car agency at the airport that we were flying into in Florida so that we would be sure we had a way to get from the airport to the hotel. Then, he had to contact a separate person altogether to double check how to obtain tickets to the park.

Today, you can still go the route that my father did over a decade ago. However, when given the choice, most people simply book an all inclusive vacation to one of the top vacation destinations like Disney by either going through a travel agent or doing it all online. The amount of work that you are willing to do on your own is up to you, but there is no doubt that hiring a travel agent seems to be the way to go.
